45 minutes for your best: Let say that we have followed a regular Swedish person in a period of some years just to be able to analyze what some training can do.

How much do you ever think that some training can give you something positive? Let say that we have followed a regular Swedish person in a period of some years just to be able to analyze what some training can do.

Different workouts have given different results during all years. It has been interesting to see how training positively affects our health. One of the latest workouts in this case contains following steps:

5 min bicycling in 2nd gear
6 exercises where body weight uses
5 min bicycling in 3rd gear
6 exercises where body weight uses
5 min bicycling in 4th gear
6 exercises where body weight uses
3 min bicycling in 3rd gear and 2-3min bicycling in 2nd gear
6 exercises where body weight uses

Above we can see 20-21 minutes of active bicycling. Normally it is possible to burn 320-330 calories during this part of training. What about that 6 exercises part? How many calories do we burn there. It depends probably on what kind of exercises we do.

45 minutes for your best

45 minutes for your best: Red: 325 calories. Blue: 400 calories. Grey: 520 calories.

Different workout results

However we have tried to look at similar cases online. According to the website nyttigt.eu  it seems to be possible to burn up to 16 calories in a minute so 25 minutes of this training can result in at least 200 calories.

In total this combination means that you can get rid of 520 calories if you spend 45 minutes in training. Those 45 minutes can mean very much if you keep training on a weekly basis.

The image above shows us how it looks like. The red color represents only 20-21 minutes of bicycling. The blue one is 20-21 minutes of bicycling with some exercises afterwards. The grey one represents the result of workout that we have described in the beginning of this article.

Skånetrafiken trains and technical problems: Trains, signals and tracks are something that almost every day causes problems for thousands of passengers and no one actually does anything about that.

Suddenly the train stops a hundred meters before the central station in Copenhagen. That is nothing new when talking about the Öresundståget trains. But the news are that a dialogue between train staff and train driver shows us how Skånetrafiken as a public transport company actually treats their passengers.

The train crew asks the train driver:

What is happening? Are we going to move forward soon? What can I tell them?

He meant the passengers when he used the word ”them”. In his voice and way of pronouncing that word we could here a very negative sound.

After their internal phone talk, all passengers heard this information in the speakers:

We are standing still because of some small technical problems. We are working hard on it and will continue as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Skånetrafiken trains and technical problems
Skånetrafiken trains and technical problems: The train (Öresundståget) at Hyllie station in Malmö city waits for a new start signal.

What is the impression?

The impression is that the train crew does not take those problems seriously. They handle passengers as if they were idiots. Skånetrafiken as a big public transport company within southern parts of Sweden and between Sweden and Denmark shows us their real face.

Cases like this appear to be a part of Skånetrafiken’s normal behavior. Will that be changed ever? No, it does not look so. After 11 years of experience of those trains we can tell that they only are good on rising the prices. Their quality sinks more and more for each day.

On the other side they are not the only one to blame. The Swedish government seem to pretend as they do not hear or see anything. Trains, signals and tracks are something that almost every day causes problems for thousands of passengers and no one actually does anything about that.Open the chat

Graffiti – artwork or something else? What do you as reader think? What is your experience of graffiti? We have heard different reactions. Some of them are negative and some of them positive.

What is actually graffiti? Is it someones lifestyle? Many of us probably have seen different kind of animations all around us. They are visible mostly in residential areas in central parts of cities or suburbs, but also in industrial areas. It is so because someone wants to be seen. Someone who wants to attract attention paints something as some kind of figure, but also as animated text. In most common cases graffiti is done with spray.

According to Wikipedia graffiti is writing or drawings made on a wall or other surface, usually without permission and within public view. Also according to the Swedish part of Wikipedia it comes from graffito in Italian and graphei  in Greek. That means write.

One of the popular areas for graffiti animations is the one close to the train tracks. We can see different kind of artworks there. They are visible on train wagons, walls, electrical posts and switchboards.

Graffiti - artwork or something else?

Graffiti – artwork or something else? We can see many different  graffiti doodles between Ørestad and Copenhagen central station. Is this a lifestyle?

Artwork or doodle?

What do you as reader think? What is your experience of graffiti? We have heard different reactions. Some of them are negative, but some of them are positive. It is simply so that graffiti can turn something boring into something positive.

Of course, there should be some written and unwritten rules about what is allowed and what is not. For example, in a Danish Jyllands-Posten there is an article about a case where we can see how people let a graffiti remain there it is because people like it.

According to the Swedish police doodles are prohibited and could in some cases result in prison. So, graffiti as doodles is punishable. If we read in online forums like Swedish forum called Flashback, we can see that graffiti people in Sweden know the rules and do respect them. They understand that some places should never be painted. They also think that graffiti can make positive changes in some cases. Those are e.g. better and more fresh look on some boring places.

Newsletter – for you or your customers? Actually what is our goal with sending a newsletter? Do we only want to inform our customers about something or is there some other intention hidden in the background?

We often wonder what is that we want to present in  our next newsletter. And each time we hope that it will give something more. Here we have to emphasize the word ”we”. Why?

Actually what is our goal with sending a newsletter? Do we only want to inform our customers about something or is there some other intention hidden in the background?

As a company who cares about its own business we do send newsletters to our customers. The goal is to inform customers at the same time as we try to create a curiosity on their side. We want to make them feel informed, updated and willing to buy something more.

Newsletter - for you or your customers?

Designing newsletter is not always easy. If you ever have any doubt about newsletters as your marketing method then you can stop thinking about it now.

That is how it is and there is nothing wrong with it. If you ever have any doubt about newsletters as your marketing method then you can stop thinking about it now. Newsletters can be good both for you and your customers especially when the content is informative and can make your relation to your customers better and stronger. Designing it, on the other side,  is not always easy but the result can be great when it is done! Creativity and content are always  a good combination.

If both sides experience a newsletter as something satisfying then we can easily say that both you and your customers are the winners.Open the chat

Bike paths – for intelligent people only? The new rule says that the pedestrians have to go on the left side and bikes on the right side. OK, it something like expecting that people will go on the left side of a road. Is this change doable?

In October 2018 Swedish government made changes in the law. It is about sidewalks/bike paths where both walking and biking is allowed. Normally those are created so there is a line in the middle. That line separates pedestrians from bikes. But that is not easy to understand without the line.

Now, the new rule says that the pedestrians have to go on the left side and bikes on the right side. OK, it something like expecting that people will go on the left side of a road.

Is this change doable? Already now we can see different discussion flowing around on social networks. People enjoy those open discussion channels. They love the opportunity where they can express they thoughts. But is this change doable?

Creating an eye contact with a pedestrian on the bike path (as someone mentioned at Facebook) is not possible. People are inside their phones. They have their headphones and they do not care, they ignore everything around them, until something happens. Then they suddenly become surprised.

What? What is going on?

After reading what was written in social medias we can agree that an eye contact on bike paths is not possible and we can agree that the best solution is a line that separates pedestrians from bikes.

Bike paths - for intelligent people only

Bike paths – for intelligent people only? We can agree that the best solution is a line that separates pedestrians from bikes.

Absolute ignorance or  lack of knowledge?

Nowadays there are many people who do not understand how to behave and what the line in the middle means.  We also have people who absolutely ignore all those rules. So what is more dangerous, absolute ignorance or  lack of knowledge? Just try to imagine how this kind of people will be able to understand more complicated rules such as creating an eye contact and walk on the left side.

Can they ever be able to fit in modern and healthy society?  That is too difficult for a modern human being in Sweden 2018 since we have seen many real cases in the real life that proves that people do not know how to walk on a bike paths.Open the chat

Updating PHP from 5.6 to 7.2. Here below you can see some known details that can cause problems when you change to PHP 7.2 from some older version like 5.6.

As soon as people hear words like change or update when talking about versions of their programming languages, programs and other systems or parts of it they get worried. People feel panic. What if something goes wrong? What if their website stops working?

CMS and websites

Many people use different CMS tools for their websites. A very common CMS is WordPress. This one can manage its own updates. The whole system, themes and plugins can be updated very easy. So, changing PHP from 5.6 to 7.2 is not noticeable if all updates have been done regularly.

Programming and websites

If your website has been created by some programmer some years ago then it can be problem. Without updates maybe your website uses too old PHP. In this case you will probably have to do something.

Here below you can see some known details that can cause problems when you change to PHP 7.2 from some older version like 5.6.

Updating PHP from 5.6 to 7.2:

Problem: If we have $$var in a FOR-loop, the variable and its content does not work anymore outside the FOR-loop.
Solution: It works as this instead: ${$var} in PHP 7.2

Problem: Empty line above <?php gives not working website
Solution: Avoid that empty line.

Problem: Database connection stops working because MySQL functions are not in use anymore
Solution: Use PDO_Mysql queries instead of MySQL queries

Updating PHP from 5.6 to 7.2

Updating PHP from 5.6 to 7.2: If programming was done properly from the beginning all changes can be done easily.

One of  the biggest problem in this case is when a website that uses old database connection stops working. In that case it can take long time to make changes if there are many scripts in many files.

Old database connection can look like this:

$connection = mysql_connect($db_conn[“host”],$db_conn[“login”],$db_conn[“paswd”])
or die (“No connection to the database!”);
mysql_select_db($db_conn[“name”], $connection);

New database connection looks like this:

$db = new PDO(‘mysql:host=domain.com.mysql;dbname=domain_com;’, ‘domain_com’, ‘databasePassword’);

If programming was done properly from the beginning all changes can be done easily. So whenever you program a website, it can be good to organize files and scripts properly. It is good for your future changes and improvements.

Dachstein – the view from above. In 2015 I recognized the area from a Lufthansa airplane that flew from Sarajevo to Munich. First I thought it was Scheichenspitze but after closer research I saw it was Hoher Dachstein.

In the end of July 2018 our Magazine visited Austria. We decided to take a closer look at Dachstein, (Hoher Dachstein). In the period of last 20 years I have passed through that area with car around 20 times and every time I felt great. Is it because of all those mountains? Probably is that one of the reasons.

Dachstein - the view from above- Snowball

Snowball at glacier at Hoher Dachstein: Imagine playing around in show in the middle of the summer. Great but wet because of melting snow.

Hoher Dachstein and Scheichenspitze

In 2015 I recognized the area from a Lufthansa airplane that flew from Sarajevo to Munich. First I thought it was Scheichenspitze but after closer research I saw it was Hoher Dachstein. But Scheichenspitze (a lower top) is not far away anyways and should be visible on the image below.

Dachstein - the view from above - Airplane

In 2015 I recognized the area from a Lufthansa airplane that flew from Sarajevo to Munich. 2995 meters above the sea level. Very nice mountain.

We left the Autobahn A10 from Villach towards Salzburg and turned to the right. We continued driving towards Radstadt, Schladming and Graz. In Schladming we turned to the left and came to our pension called Concordia. It was high up in the mountains with very nice view all around.

Dachstein - the view from above- Schladming

Mountains close to Ramsau am Dachstein where we found our pension Concordia. Great view over the Schladming area. Perfect for ski lovers.

Ramsau am Dachstein

Since our pension was close to  Ramsau am Dachstein just below the great Dachstein we decided to visit that place. There are many attractions and restaurants. It is visible that Austria care about their tourism.  Ramsau am Dachstein in Schladming-Dachstein is an 18 km long, 4 km wide plateau at an altitude of 1,000 to 1,300m.  It is not only for skiing great. Especially for Nordic ski sports it is one of the best destinations in the Alps. 220 kilometers of cross-country skiing tracks, created in 13 different loops in various levels of difficulty, length (up to 30 km) and altitude.

It is possible to reach the top of Dachstein by climbing or walking up and by taking gondola that starts from a lower part of this mountain.

Dachstein - the view from above - Gondola

In Gondola to the Hoher Dachstein there is room for 60 persons. The trip up to the top takes a few minutes only and the view is very pleasant.

In one gondola there is room for 60 persons. The trip up to the top takes a few minutes only and the view is very pleasant. Sometimes it can be a transition from sunny weather into a deep fog. Even though the gondola is surrounded by fog or clouds it is possible to see cliffs and ice or snow during the tour upwards or downwards.

Dachstein - the view from above - One the way up1

Great view from gondola. Some minutes after leaving the start position we already could feel some excitement looking forward reaching the top.

Dachstein - the view from above - on the way up2

Gondola, summer and snow. Some minutes after leaving the start position we already could feel some excitement looking forward reaching the top.

Glacier and Stairway to Nothingness

On the top the weather easily can shift and suddenly there is a perfect sunny day but with only 5-6 C degrees. That is cold comparing to 25 C degrees on the bottom of the mountain.

Dachstein - the view from above- Glacier

Glacier, sunshine and only 5-6 C degrees at the top. We can see people walking around and exploring the place. It looks like some arctic expedition.

We visited some interesting points. Treppe ins Nichts or Stairway to Nothingness is one of them. The view is great and it is easy to recognize places like valley with attractions close to Ramsau am Dachstein.

Dachstein - the view from above- Treppe ins Nichts

Treppe ins Nichts or Stairway to Nothingness with a great view over the Ramsau am Dachstein  in the upper left corner.

Ice Palace

We also visited the Ice Palace simply to see how it is to be under 6 meters of ice.

Dachstein - the view from above-ice-palace-6m-ice

6 meters of ice above the Ice Palace –  Because of heat development it is only allowed to have 40 people inside. The ticket can be used one time only.

When coming in to the Ice Palace you get informed about the fact that you have 6 meters ice above you. Also you get information about the limited number of visitors. Because of heat development it is only allowed to have 40 people inside the Ice Palace. The ticket can be used one time only.

Dachstein - the view from above-ice-palace-paris

Inside the Ice Palace, under 6 meters of ice, we can see many different sculptures from different countries. One of them is the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Inside there, under the 6 meters ice we can see many different sculptures. They represent different countries. One of them is the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Walking around in the Ice Palace was little bit slippery and we had to be more careful than we expected.

For everyone who love mountains

Snow, ice and cliffs is what we can see and experience on this wonderful mountain. Especially in combination with some sunny weather.

Dachstein - the view from above-dachstein-the-map

The map shows us Hoher Dachstein 2995 meters above the sea level, glacier, snow and cliffs. This fantastic place is something we experienced in 2018.

The glacier that we see all around is huge and covered by melting snow surface. Since the temperature is not so high the melting process goes very slow which means that this huge ice area always remains white until next winter and new show.

Dachstein - the view from above-The-Glacier

The glacier that we see all around is huge and covered by melting snow. This is a perfect place for skiing and snowboard adventures close to Salzburg.

The whole area is a perfect place for everyone who love mountains. Climbing on cliffs or ice but also walking upwards looks very attractive and we are sure that people love it. This is a perfect place for skiing and snowboard adventures close to Salzburg.

So if you have the opportunity, just take it! Enjoy it! Austria with love – Your Justfindit.se MagazineOpen the chat

Vodka Azzurra a Saturday evening? If you do not succeed with your drink, maybe you need some creative inspiration source. Let us try with Italy. What can be that something little that inspires us?

What do you prefer to drink a Saturday evening? A glass of juice, a cup of tea, a beer or maybe even some vodka drink? Inspired by Blue Hawaii drink in Minneapolis, USA or inspired by Ice Bear drink anywhere in Sweden, everyone can actually do a tasty vodka drink.

Inspiration

If you do not succeed with your drink, maybe you need some creative inspiration source. Let us try with Italy. What can be that something little that inspires us? A hot day and afternoon in Florence? Nice and relaxing night? We can always take a beer or a glass of wine. But we also can go for something stronger. A vodka drink from Pisa. Not so far a way from the Mediterranean sea, this city gave us a taste of it.

Vodka Azzurra a Saturday evening

What do you prefer to drink a Saturday evening? Vodka Azzurra, a great mix of 25% vodka, sugar and taste of a mix of licorice and syrup.

We bought a little bottle of mixed drink in Pisa, in Italy. It is called Vodka Azzurra, a great mix of 25% vodka, sugar and taste of a mix of licorice and syrup. Maybe the licorice part is not the best one but the tasty syrup feeling can make it great and easy to drink. If you prefer to eat some strawberries while taking a drink then you can do it. The combination is doable and could be experienced as a tasty one.  If you are cold or feel tired and exhausted, then just a little glass of this drink can help you feel better. We can recommend it for a Saturday evening but also for any other occasion.Open the chat

Englischer Garten in Munich. A place with Schwabingerbach and Chinesischer Turm. The area of this big park or garden is 3,7 square kilometers which means that it is bigger than the Central Park in New York which is 3,2 square kilometers.

In the beginning of July 2018 our Magazine visited and explored the Englischer Garten in Munich. Thanks to some earlier experience of this great park we knew where to go.

The Englischer Garten is a large public park in Schwabing, a part of Munich city in Germany. The park is stretching from the central to the northeastern parts of this big city. Its area is 3,7 square kilometers which means that it is bigger than the Central Park in New York which is 3,2 square kilometers.

Englischer_Garten_in_Munich_google_maps

This screen shot from Google Maps shows us The Englischer Garten from above. Perfect place to visit in the central part of Munich.

In this beautiful park we can see The Chinesischer Turm (Chinese Tower). Close to it there are many seats where people can eat and drink in the beer garden around it. The atmosphere there is very nice especially when e.g. classic music is playing from the tower.

Englischer_Garten_in_Munich_Chinesischer_Turm

The Chinesischer Turm is 25 meters high and it is a wooden structure that was built in 1789-1790.

The tower is 25 meters high and it is a wooden structure that was built in 1789-1790. It also was reconstructed in 1952 because it burned down in 1944 after heavy bombing. We also can see a children’s carousel that was put up near the tower in 1823. Nowadays it is still a very interesting place for children.

Schwabingerbach, sunbathing and nude sunbathing

There is also Schwabingerbach (Schwabing stream) that leaves the Eisbach (Ice stream). It is a small, two kilometer long, manmade river that flows through the Englischer Garten park, and it is a side arm of the Isar River. It is clean and has natural green color that can attract everyone. Especially in summer time when we all would be happy with something refreshing. Sometimes it is easy to think that this water is so clean that it would not be a problem to drink it.

Englischer_Garten_in_Munich_Schwabingerbach1

Beautiful Schwabingerbach (Schwabing stream) that leaves the Eisbach (Ice stream). It is clean and has natural green color.

Along the Schwabingerbach there are nice places for relaxing and sunbathing in the middle of Munich. On some of those places nude sunbathing has been permitted since the 1960s and many people also use to practise that. Why not if you love it?

The Englischer Garten was created in 1789 by Sir Benjamin Thompson (1753–1814), later Count Rumford (Reichsgraf von Rumford), for Prince Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria.

Englischer_Garten_in_Munich_Schwabingerbach2

Beautiful Schwabingerbach (Schwabing stream) that leaves the Eisbach (Ice stream) is popular for sunbathing and nude sunbathing.

The name refers to its English garden form of informal landscape. That is a style popular in England from the mid-18th century to the early 19th century. It is particularly associated with the English landscape architect Capability Brown ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capability_Brown ) .

More information about this beautiful English garden you can find at your own at: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Englischer_Garten  .

However, our visit was short, less than one day, but we can recommend everyone to visit this place if you are in Munich in summer time. We could easily find those interesting places that we wanted to describe thanks to the earlier visits. But sometimes you need more than one day for that.

Telenor and cellular coverage. As soon as we start our internet use in Copenhagen, at the central station, we can discover that E network is there instead of 3G or 4G. But why is it so?

How many times did it happen that we felt angry and irritated because of the Internet? We all know that it can happen every day, and often when the cellular coverage is bad. We have tried and investigated how bad coverage it can be. Our test is done in Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark. The biggest city in the area close to Sweden. Together with Malmö in Sweden, Copenhagen represents a very populated area. We are talking about 2 million people. We have different internet and phone providers. As an example Tele2 works almost perfect in this area. Telenor is on the other side worse. With their weak cellular coverage we truly can not be proud internet users.

In the heart of Copenhagen, at the central station, very often, if not whole time, we can experience the problems. As soon as we start our internet use, we can discover that E network is there instead of 3G or 4G. But why is it so?

Information about E network found at www.telenor.se  is:

“E” stands for Edge, which is a 3G-standard for 2G/GSM-network that makes it possible to surf in 2G-network but with higher speed than with the GPRS.

It is strange that Telenor does not explain that E network is slower than 3G or 4G. It is also strange that they do not explain why it is so on the places where we do expect normal and good coverage as it should be in the middle of big cities.

Comparing to the central station in Copenhagen it is more normal at airport Kastrup, outside of the city. On the bridge between Sweden and Denmark it is not always as it should be especially in the tunnel under water where the coverage interrupts. It is understandable that it is possible to experience problems on those two places because there is the national border and it is also deep under the water surface.

However, if we should choose now we should choose Tele2 instead of Telenor.Open the chat
