When the ski season ends

When the ski season ends. This period of the year is a period when very different feelings are involved. We can feel happy and satisfied, but we can also miss many great moments if we have had a great experience during that period.

After a very nice winter, hopefully a very nice spring will come. When a very successful ski season ends, every skier is satisfied. Or maybe not? There are different feelings involved. Such as: It was perfect, but the time went too fast. Or maybe even: I want to go skiing again, but the snow melts, horrible! But hopefully we should be able to hear also satisfaction expressed as: It was perfect and now it is enough.

Well, some last days of a ski season can be sad, especially when the weather offers a depressive and boring atmosphere. The length of a ski season can vary, depending on where the mountain is. Normally it is until March or April, as far as there is snow. If we are ski lovers and really follow own ski areas via e.g. web cameras, we probably can experience how much we will miss it. The spring takes over and the winter is gone.

Melting snow and shrinking ski pistes are what is left. Our fantastic skiing days are over and we only can remember them. They have given us great memories and we can look forward next winter. Hopefully it can be great and successful as the last one. However, nowadays it is almost impossible to be sure that coming winter will give us snow enough, so we can have a good ski season again.

When the ski season ends, we simply have to look forward the spring, the summer and the sunshine. But just like with the winter, we must be careful with our feelings. Instead of a beautiful and sunny weather, we can get rain and cold days. Therefore, enjoy the moment.
