Lamberti Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie. How can an Italian wine from 2019 taste? We have decided to taste it. A perfect sunny afternoon and some sweet strawberries in front of us. Let us see if a seven years old wine was like we wanted it.

It is spring and it feels like it is time for tasting something new. Or maybe something old? We have chosen a white Italian wine from 2019. It is a bottle which we found and bought many years ago in Sarajevo. The bottle looked very attractive and our decision was not difficult. What is our experience?

How can a seven years old Italian white wine taste? Was is it too old or is it true what people say about the age of wine? We tasted it and the absolutely first gulp was not as expected. It was bitter. We could say that it tasted like Scheiblhofer white wine from Burgenland in Austria. Was it so because of the age? We do not know, but we do not regret that we tasted it.

Comparing to the Scheiblhofer white wine with 13 percent alcohol, Lamberti contains 12 percent and it can be enjoyed with strawberries or a glass of water with freshly squeezed lime. This combination makes the bitter taste little bit softer and gives a better experience.

So what can we tell about our choice this time? Are we happy with how a seven years old Italian white wine tasted? The taste was bitter and despite the age of the wine, we could enjoy it. We must recommend it, especially if it tastes better when it is younger. Lamberti made us experience a touch of Italy even though we tasted it in Sweden.
