Finances and investments

Finances and investments. Let us take a short look at what we can do with some money. We will try to explain how it can be used and what risks there might be. At least we can try to give you an idea of what happens.

Have you saved some money? Maybe you have inherited some amount or even won something playing lottery? If you feel that you would like or need to do something with the money, then you have some different options. Saving in a bank is always a good option. But the question is if it gives you enough? Or do you want some more?

Many banks can offer good interests but they also can lock a certain sum of your money and you are not allowed to use it during a period. Some banks do not give anything and your money stays there as it is from the first start. What about some kind of an investment? Investing in some property is a good idea. But if you do not want to own a property?

Finances and investments. This is one of the funds that can be bought at e.g. Nordnet.

There is a possible solution if you want to use your money for earning more. Investing in stocks and funds can be a way of making it more interesting. However, investing in stocks is not as good as Investing in funds. It is more risky because stocks are connected to one company, while funds are pooled investment that buys a diversified basket of stocks, bonds, or other assets. Investing in stocks and funds can be affected by different situations in the World. Wars are a perfect example. They can cause short-term or long-term crisis.

Short-term or long-term crisis

The latest wars such as the one in Ukraine and the one in Iran have affected the economic stability. The first one has triggered a long-term problem and the second is for now a short-term problem. According to the sources on the Internet we can explain it like this: The war that affects markets the most is the conflict in Iran. The Ukraine conflict triggered severe, lasting supply chain issues in grain and fertilizer, but the war in Iran and the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz have caused a massive shock in global when talking about oil supplying. According to the U.S. Bank the geopolitical headlines can move markets quickly, but short-term swings do not always translate into lasting changes in the economy.

If you decide to invest in e.g. funds, it is important to remain calm in the boat. Impulsive selling could lead to lost of money, especially when it is short-term crisis.
