StopSpamApi not alive

Why did Begacom IT Business stop developing this plugin? Why could they not see this situation and be prepared to find a fast solution?

In this magazine we have seen articles about StopSpamApi WordPress plugin created by Swedish company Begacom IT Business. Unfortunately now it has stopped working. We noticed some changes in WordPress version 5.3.2 that makes this plugin not working any more.

That would mean that we are looking forward and we are hoping to see a new and updated version of this plugin. The latest one was from October 2018 and that is an obvious cause of this problem.

Why did Begacom IT Business stop developing this plugin? Why could they not see this situation and be prepared to find a fast solution? It was something unexpected, the CEO said. According to him we can understand that the disappointment is big:

Our plugin is/was using only 2 files that belong to WordPress included files. It modifies those files and now it is no more possible to do this. Our script is working well but it has nothing to modify anymore.

Apparently the problems are known now and strategy to solve them must be developed soon. It is important to think differently in this case since this plugin has been working good in some years and it would be great to continue with it. It would be very bad to stop offering the plugin when it works good and when it can protect WordPress sites against bots.

Begacom IT Business understands the importance of this situation and is ready for saving the plugin:

We are very sorry because our plugin is temporary out of use and we will do everything we can to get it alive again.
