How many versions has this plugin have? As far as we can remember it there are 7 versions. The last one before this was 3.5.17092021 and it was the one that solved all bugs since version 2.5.

According to the developer, Begacom IT Business, the plugin had some issues with using options in an external file. Debugging was done in some occasions and finally the problem was solved. It was decided to use sessions instead of options in this specific case.

Well, what about the 4.0 version? What is different? We must admit that we know one thing. It was planned to release this plugin much earlier but previously described problems stopped the development.

Now when the door was open again, the work could continue. And finally the plugin is updated and will be released in October 2021. The difference is visible but only inside the wp-admin administration page. A user can now create his own languages for the Contact Me Plugin. That option is fantastic since it allows every user to adapt the contact form language to the website language.

The final version

The contact form has also one more change. The option for sending a copy of the message is removed. It is decided so just to prevent possible spam problems. When a form can send a copy to anyone then it can be abused. That can be very problematic if some spammer wants to spam someone.

So, Contact Me Plugin 4.0 is for now the final version of this plugin. Since a contact form is a simple tool the developer does not see any new needs for new development. Of course, updates will be necessary if some bugs appear again or if some creative feedbacks are sent to the developer.
