This time we have decided to write something little about a Sci-Fi movie. It got our attention in one occasion and suddenly we just had to watch the same movie several times. Every time they show it on TV it becomes interesting just like the first time. It is some kind of curiosity present in us each time we are watching this. What will happen? Is this just like a regular trip?
Here we have three involved persons. And we also have one more. This one is actually a robot. His name is Arthur (Michael Sheen).
We have a spaceship called Starship Avalon. It is in its 120-year voyage to a distant colony planet known as the "Homestead Colony". It is transporting 5,258 people and it has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result of this malfunction one hibernation pod opens prematurely and the one person that awakes, Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) is stranded on the spaceship, still 90 years from his destination.
What can Jim do? Can he survive alone? But he is not alone. He has Arthur working in the bar. It is a place made for everyone. Jim goes there almost whole time and the robot bartender makes him company.
One day Jim decides to do something that can change another person’s life for ever. He wakes a beautiful girl Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) up and starts a new life with her. Of course he does not tell her the whole truth and he also trusts Arthur.
The passion that develops is something very natural and the amount of love seems to be limitless. Watching the movie we simply forget all negative things in our lives. We turned into someone who really follows the trip. Traveling with Jim, Aurora and Arthur is very pleasant. We also get some short time with the third person, Gus (Laurence Fishburne), the captain of the spaceship. Unfortunately his destiny here is not so happy.
Finally, did the passion survive? Did the trip succeed? From this point we will not reveal more details but we simply want to encourage you to watch this movie. We do recommend Passengers.
