An interview worth an applause. Can the interpretation of the word provocation affect our way of thinking and judging?

Almost two years after the Russian so called special operation in Ukraine started, one person decided to make a wonder move. Who was that and why did he decide to do so? We are talking about Tucker Carlson. According to Wikipedia he is an American conservative political commentator and writer.

He visited the Russian president Vladimir Putin in Moscow and made an interview with him. During a period of two hours Tucker Carlson offered everyone of us to hear what the Russian president has to say about his special operation. We heard many relevant details from the history about Russia and Ukraine but also NATO who dreams about expanding.

In the whole west world this special operation is called war and people see it as a war, but Vladimir Putin still calls it as he did from the first start. However, regardless how you call it, it is a horrible and unnecessary war between two sides.

In the interview we could hear that Russia always wanted a good relation with the European Union, NATO and USA. Russia did not want to be provoked and asked NATO to stop expanding closer to them. Those details are not made up. Thinking back in time during at least 15 years it is possible to remember different news where the Russian side was willing to have a good relation with NATO.

Are we in danger?

It is possible to remember how Russia asked NATO to not expand in Ukraine. It happened several times. And we can still hear how Russia attacked Ukraine without being provoked. The interpretation of the word provocation is unfortunately very subjective in this case.

The Interview offers each one of us something else to hear instead of what we usually hear on daily basis. The Russian president explained that he is against a global war and that means that we do not have to worry. Unfortunately there are still those people who believe that we live in danger because Russia will attack us all. Many of us already understand that it will not happen, but on the other side many people still believe the opposite. That is very sad.
