Ulricehamn and skiing 2024/2025. Foggy and wet weather in December 2024. How was the start of 2025? The first days of January have given us some hope but unfortunately, we do not know what to expect.

One month ago people were looking forward to start skiing again. The season was opening on December 13. And that was true. It was cold enough and it was minus degrees outside. The time was perfect for those who wanted to experience the first produced dry snow. Yes it was produced. On the webcam it was possible to follow the production and get informed about the status. However, the first day was not as expected. They promised the biggest pist only but also some smaller pistes for children and beginners. For some people was it cool and of course a wonderful experience. In this case, the happiest skiers are those who actually live in Ulricehamn.

Now, for someone who is a big enthusiast and someone who loves skiing, this is a little disappointment. When the season starts, you hope that it will be a perfect start. Suddenly, when you realize that it is not as it was e.g. last year, you get sad. It is a little bit irritating moment when you actually can not enjoy that first moment. When you dream about something and when you do look forward to experience it, unfortunately it can turn into something else. But what is the key problem here? Can we blame Ski Bike Hike Ulricehamn? Should they have made this better?

Well, who to blame is always a sensitive question. In this case, we can blame the weather only. The Ulricehamn city nor Ski Bike Hike Ulricehamn can not do a magic thing and produce the snow when it is warmer than zero degrees. It is just a mission impossible. However they have tried and they have made it possible for the first day of this season. Now, the question is what happened later on? Did the ski season succeed with a satisfying start or was the whole December a bad time for skiers?

The ski season actually started as it was planned, but it did not look to be as successful as e.g. last year. We have been following the development during whole December 2024 and what we have seen is melting snow only. Also foggy and wet weather was there almost every day. Some people have been skiing but according to what we could see on the webcams, it was not as many people as it normally can be. We are not showing any other picture in the article, because what we can see on the webcams, is just sad, wet, dark and depressive views.

So, this article about skiing in Ulricehamn is just a sad one. Looking at some weather forecasts, it can be possible that January 2025 will offer some better weather. We can expect some lower temperatures and hopefully it will be possible to produce some new snow if no natural snow comes.
