Someone asked if that is changed. We assume that Begacom IT Business still does not have (time) resources to create absolutely own themes so we have asked the company owner about this. He said this:

We are looking in to a new possible method. It is about creating a theme with a plugin as base. That technique sounds attractive.

So, will this method give us something new from this company remains to see. Since they have created a number of useful plugins this one sounds promising too.

What can we expect from a theme with a plugin as base? Well, this way of developing a theme can create new opportunities. As an example we can mention editing themes. Let say that you have created one. Inside the plugin settings you can edit the theme with more flexibility than in standard theme editor.

That is why this alternative solution in developing WordPress theme is so attractive. The owner of Begacom IT Business admits that they have had their pilot project together with this magazine. They developed their first theme right here. He said this:

Yes, we have had our pilot project right here and as you can see the plugin works as expected. But the whole work is not done. This plugin requires some ajustements before we can launch it and before you can use it instead the current theme. This plugin will also allow you to have a temporary backup theme if you can not find another one so fast.
