Hugo Spritz - a fresh moment drink. Let us present a very tasty and very inviting German drink. This time without alcohol.

Only one day before the summer begun this year, we decided to taste an another version of Hugo. Let us present Hugo Spritz as a very tasty drink. This one was bought in a standard supermarket Coop in Sweden. And it was of course without alcohol. In this kind of stores it is not possible to find other alcohol drinks but beer 0-3,5 %.

Normally, Hugo is a German drink and according to the earlier experience it is not possible to find in Sweden. So this one bottle was a pleasant surprise. Let us take a look at the taste. How can we describe it? Well, exactly as it is written on the bottle, we can say that it tastes elderflower, lime and mint.

This drink must be served cold. Keeping it in the fridge is an important requirement if we want to get a successful Hugo Spritz experience. The taste description on the bottle is correct. The drink has those properties and it gives a real summer feeling. In this case we can say that some kind of fruits should fit as a complement. Probably is it strawberries, but if they are properly sweet only.

Comparing to our earlier experiences with Hugo drinks, we can say that this one is almost like all those we tasted with alcohol. The only difference is that Hugo Spritz is without alcohol. In September 2020 we wrote about Gracioso Hugo.

We described that one as a tasty and inviting wine. Also we compared it to a Mosquito drink and we decided to put it in the same club as Martini Rosso and Sangria. Hugo Spritz, as a non alcoholic drink is actually also very inviting and we can say that the taste is surprisingly fresh and easy to enjoy.

Can we recommend this drink? Yes, of course. If you find it in your store in the neighborhood, then buy it. It is worth giving it a chance to show you how it actually is.
