These small brown (most of them looked brown) were created mostly of woods. On the hills around there were no threes. Is that because of the human factor or are these hills not covered with the threes from the first beginning? It might be both of the alternatives. However, this area was good for doing sports like gliding.

We finally reached the border of the next one, a very mystic country Mongolia. The train took a break for some minutes so all passengers could go out and take a walk and/or stretch themselves.
Early in the morning next day, when we arrived to Ulan Bator , also called Ulaanbaatar (the capital of Mongolia) our two tourist guides waited for us, an older man and a young man, Joe (I think his name was Joe, unfortunately I have forgotten it). They picked us up with their car and we were then on the way to one of the national parks, the Gorkhi Terelj National Park. They were very glad to see us and they were willing to tell us as much as they could about this wonderful country.
The first impression I've got was something like this: "Wow... it's wonderful here. All these rocks and hills... The whole environment reminds on the moon or another planet - it is not like in Europe..." . An that is true! The whole this huge area was different than our European continent.
We settled down in on of these nice little camps in the Gorkhi Terelj National Park. We've got an Nomads Tent so we could sleep over there.
The first thing we did there was to walk around and look at the place. It was beautiful! Small rocky hills were around us and I felt like I would like to go up to the top of all of them.
Little bit later we ate some food in the restaurant and then we visited a famous place called The Turtle Rock behind one of the hills. After that we visited a local Nomad family and we red their small horses.

My brother an me decided to claim up to one of the hills after we were finished with everything we had on our schedule that day. And we did it. We succeeded. We reached the top of one of those hills in about 45 minutes. The view was just incredible. Very nice and clean nature all around us.

Trans-Siberian Railway, Part VII, right in to Mongolia
Southern Russia. We left The Lake Baikal and Irkutsk and the train was on the way to Mongolia. We saw a very different environment in this area. Comparing to the earlier parts of Russia this was different. The houses in small villages looked old and maybe even poor.
