Behind the Dinaric Alps. Does development play an important role in this area? The difference between two sides has not always been like now. Looking back in time this split has not been so visible.

Dinara is a 100 kilometres long mountain range in the Dinaric Alps. The point of view is crucial. You can see two totally different environments depending on where you stand. It is really interesting how Dinaric Alps have this role and it is splitting an area in two parts.

Looking back in time this split has not been so visible. The difference between those two sides has not always been like now.

On one side we can see an environment where development seems to play an important role. We can see how quality of living increases. There is something that generates positive vibes despite many negative ones. People build bridges, highways, people strives for being closer to the life standard in the European Union. It smells freedom.

On the other side there is something different. It is an environment where people behave differently. Actually it is a nice place but people have changed it. With their way of living, they simply want to deviate. They build but not same things as the opposite site. Some really important and needed things grow slowly while other grow very fast.

You can never know when the next one will appear and change your view. In some cases it can happen just close to your home. Suddenly one day the silence at your own home becomes interrupted by sounds which you must accept independent whether you like them or not. At the end maybe you have to leave and find a new home.

But moving is not a solution that can guarantee you peace and quiet. Everything can be changed again where ever you start your new life because changing continues. Randomly or planned but it happens.

So, the conclusion is that one side of the great Dinaric Alps is a place with promising light future while second one is almost the exact opposite. And this beautiful mountain is on a perfect place between those two.
