We have done some tests where music and training are included. Well, the goal was to discover (any) difference between training with or without music. How much can we achieve during 20-30 minutes of active training with e.g. training bike at home or running outside?
On the training bike at home 20 minutes can be experienced as very long and (maybe boring) time without music. It is so especially after a long and exhausting working day. Training on he bike is good for wellness but if we are tired we maybe do not get right satisfaction after that. Why is it so?
Normally people feel good when doing what they like. It is known that time goes fast when we have fun. It is also known that time goes very slow when something we do not like is going on. If we think that we can feel better when doing something we enjoy, then we probably can do our training better than it is.
Music can have a positive impact on our training. It can help us to achieve new results because it can be very inspiring and stimulating if we love it. Listening at right music during our training we can help ourselves to improve our exercises and it can make the training more interesting.
We have noticed that right music can prolong our training at least 10 minutes which can lead to almost 200 more calories burned. It is important to inform that those 10 minutes of longer training actually did not feel unwanted.
Probably we can see positive effects in other trainings too. We can see that people listen at music when running and that is one more prove that music help us. The chance is minimal that people listen at music if they do not experience it as something positive.
