What is "being good" in traffic?
Mobile phones and the traffic
Looking around us we can easily see many people who use mobile phones. How good or bad is it?
In some big cities like Tokyo it is posible to see people going on the streets and colliding with each other just because the tempo is very high, they are too busy with their phones and there is no space to react late. It can be very fun to see sometimes!

On the other side we have more serious situations where we should be very concerned about the combination of traffic and mobile phones. Talking in the phones while driving cars can be dangerous, in some situations even deadly, specially in the cities where the traffic is more intentsive. Why do people still continue doing that? They maybe think "it will not happen me" or they think like "this is the only phone time I have". Can the stress be one of the reasons to ignore the fact that the mobile phones and traffic is a very bad combination?
Alcohol and traffic
If you drive the car then you should avoid to dring any alcohol. Even if you take only one simple glass of beer or wine, your concentration can decrease and your driving can become dangerous. Not only drunk drivers, but also drunk people walking in the city or close to some street can cause an accident.
There is 30% risk to be involved in a traffic accident if a driver has 0,4 promille in the blood. Also, there is a similar risk when a sober driver drives 80km/h on the road with 60km/h speed limit.
A sober driver who drives 10km/h faster than the speed limit allows is more dangerous than a driver who has almost 0,2 promille alcohol and drives no faster than it is allowed.
The speed
People love to drive fast. It is very visible on all our streets and roads. Many people just ignore the speed limits and the recommendations in some cases. Driving too fast can be very dangerous both for the driver and the people in his car. It can also be very deadly for other passengers on the same street or road.
Increasing the speed is also bad in the economic point of view. If you e.g. drive faster than 100km/h you can easily notice that your car consumes more fuel than if you drive slower than that. Higher speed makes it more risky for you and everyone else around you. If you e.g. get a puncture on some of your wheels then you can easily loose the control of the car. Without the right control you are not able to prevent some accident if you have some other cars around you.
The feeling
Sometimes we are looking forward something exciting to happen. Driving fast, as other exciting things, can give some kind of wonderful feeling. It is of course ok to try it in some cases but only if it is not prohibited.
Autobahn A9 between Munich and Berlin
Germany is e.g. the right place for that. They have no decided speed limits on almost all autobahns and if the opportunity is right then it can be ok to experience the feeling of beeing the fast one on the left track. But only for a short time! Avoid doing this for some longer time because it is too late to regret it afterwards.
