If not everyone, then many people have sometimes thought about working from home. At least, it must be those who are tired of being late or delayed because of e.g. traffic. But how is it to work from home?
Our social life gets affected negatively even though we have contact with our collegues via different online tools. Especially if we work in some kind of team where we as group develop together.
We are maybe less engaged in the work because of possible limitations or distractions. Our work environment is maybe limited and makes it harder to work from home comparing to the office. We maybe get distracted by something and we do not concentrate at the work as we should.
This article is based on the real experience as result of Covid-19 that changed many people’s lives during a longer period in 2020.
In this case, working several weeks from home is very exhausting even though we experience that we save time that we normally lose on our way to work and back. It is great if we have opportunity to do it when it is needed. On the other side working from home on regular basis is not the best solution.
As everything else, working from home is something that we can adapt ourselves to. That means that going back to the normal way of working maybe can affect us negatively. That is something we must be prapared for.
When we are at home we create new habits in slower tempo and we feel comfortable. Going back to the normal, that is, going back to the office means that we have to start over again with regular habits. If we consider the time we maybe can experience stress because we suddenly lose much time again and we can not catch up with something that we could do when working from home.
We are all different and hopefully going back to normal should be experienced as a positive change rather than a negative one.
