Unreliable rent-a-car business
Sometimes when you go on vacation you simply would like to experience more. You maybe want to take a rent-a-car car and drive around.
This a story about a family from Sweden who visited Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2011. They chose to contact
Virtus and rent a car from them.
The screenshot is taken at Virtus website.
They had an email conversation with the manager long time before the vacation. They decided to take a Ford Fiesta and they decided a price without problems.
When they came to Sarajevo, the manager of Virtus gave them another car, Skoda, because all Fort Fiestas were taken and he didn't take more money for that.
But, some day after, the manager wanted to get Skoda back because someone else needed it. He promised to give a Fort Fiesta or another one car withing 24 hours and also pay back 100 KM (KM=bosnian currency ~ 500 SEK at that time) because of this incident.
The family waited around 24 hours and they finally got a yeallow Seat Ibiza car. The manager was there and he said that he didn't have 100 KM and he would pay back when the family was leaving the car back.
Ok, for the family, 100 KM was not so much so they were not so decided to get them back at that time. At the end of the rent period, the manager took the car and he still "didn't have" the money.
That vacation begun wrong and it ended wrong (from the rent-a-car point of view). After the vacation the family kept the contact with this Virtus manager. He "wanted" to give the money back and he had an opportunity because one family member was in Sarajevo on a shorter visit. But he simply didn't payed back this time too.
This manager appeared to be a bad man. Maybe he is that kind of manager nowadays too but maybe he has changed to some better person.
Everyone can change!
