Last year at this time we published an article about Ždrepčeva Krv - semi-sweet red wine from Čoka. It was a tasty one and as red wine it was little bit different comparing to this one which is something between red and white.
This time we are presenting a Puy Chéri Rosé. After seeing it many times in different medias we simply decided to try it. As we can see this is the first one Rosé we write about. Until now we mostly wrote about red and white wines. What can we tell you about Puy Chéri ?
The color is nice and attractive. It might give an impression of being sweet but in the reality it was not so. We tried to investigate the taste and see if it is true what wine seller store writes about it. Here is how it is described at Swedish Systembolaget: Fruity, youthful flavor with hints of raspberry, fresh herbs, strawberry and blood grapefruit.
What we could recognize was a kind of a bitter taste. A grapefruit can be experienced as bitter so we would like to say that the description is not the best one. There maybe are some small taste mixes and therefore we believe that different people can experience the taste differently.
With 12,5% alcohol Puy Chéri belongs to the most common group of wines and we are sure that it could fit to different snacks but not to some meal. It is more a party wine rather than dinner wine. For better experience we had it in the fridge before serving it and it gave a cool and fresh taste even though it was bitter.
